Most residents in Shrewsbury have not yet discovered the joys of riding the new Metro, as 95% of commuters drive to work. A St. Louis MetroLink station is located just outside Shrewsbury and one of the few stations that has a large parking lot for commuter parking. This MetroLink station is the end of the line for commuters heading west from downtown St. Louis. The MetroLink is a commuter favorite on home-game nights for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. The Metro lets fans off right at the stadium.
There is convenient retail shopping for Shrewsbury residents on nearby Watson Road.
